Veterans in Piping®
More than 10 years ago, the United Association (UA) established the Veterans in Piping® program. This program is now widely recognized as a model for training and job placement for military men and women leaving the service.
The VIP® program is on seven military bases across the country, and service members who complete it are guaranteed placement in a local union as well as a job leading to a lucrative career.
Helmets to Hardhats
The UA participates in the Helmets to Hardhats program, a national nonprofit program that connects National Guard, Reserve, retired, and transitioning active-duty military service members with skilled training and quality career opportunities in the construction industry.
